Vassilis Thanopoulos is a research associate at the Cognitive Systems Research Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Patras, Greece and an MSc Degree in “Basic and Applied Cognitive Science” from the University of Athens, Greece. His master’s thesis investigated multisensory and temporal processing through the intentional binding phenomenon of abstract versus naturalistic actions and their effects. He has also completed a practical study on the “role of annexins in Aspergillus nidulans” at the Institute of Biosciences and Applications in NCSR Demokritos. Since 2015 he is a member of MultiTime Lab research group with main interests in multisensory and temporal perception. Vassilis is currently conducting behavioral experimentation on multisensory and temporal learning and generalization paradigms under the aims of the FocusLocus H2020 project.
